Team SoL is in Greystones, Ireland for our ministry for the month of September. We have joined up with Team Crash and Team Genesis and have adapted well to our new surroundings. Our contacts, Jim and Kathy, are amazing God fearing people. Their lives are evangelism. They love the Lord with all their being and you can completely tell by their actions and the fruit they bear.
Our ministry for the month is: evangelism(door-to-door, talking to gypsies, travelers, and people we see and talk to on the street), leading church services(music, testimonies, bible readings, preaching, and prayer), team prayer, bible study, painting, construction, yard work, cooking, cleaning, and community.
The country of Ireland is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, or any book, or picture could even try to describe, or show. The people here are very hospitable. You could approach anyone and begin to talk to them and before you know it you are in deep conversation.
I am amazed at how much I love our contact Jim. I know that I am going to learn from him. He is an extremely wise man. He speaks and I listen attentively. I noticed in my journal that I wrote, “I hang on every word he says”. I know God has truly blessed me with a man like Jim. He has a lot to teach and I have a lot to learn. He gave me an Irish name; Willy. I like it. It has a nice ring to it. It could just be that its because Jim gave it to me, but either way, it fits.
