Pastor Dennis at the New Day Christian Center made me a necklace to keep with me on The World Race. He makes these necklaces by hand from strong sticks that he gets from a tree in his backyard. He takes his time and cuts, shaves, and shapes the cross to his liking. Then he asks you, “what is a word that you would say is the most important to you bibically.” In this case I told him “I have a word in mind, but I don’t want to tell you, I want God to tell you a word that comes to your mind.” The first word that came to his mind was struggle. Amazing thing is that is exactly the word I had on my mind. He almost put the word Joyful on the cross because of the Joy that I display all the time, but after talking with him further he decided upon endureth. I couldn’t have come up with a better word myself.
- 2 Timothy 1:8-9 –So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life-not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time
- James 1:12 – Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
- Mark 13:13 – And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
