So I made it to training camp in White, Ga at the Cherokee Retreat Center. I’m currently in my tent getting ready for bed and thinking on all we talked about tonight. More than anything else we were told that this week will be about tearing down the walls of religion and smashing the box that we have been keeping God in. I can’t wait for the “Glorious Highs” and the “Glorious Lows”.

We went on a short hike and signed 5 different puzzle pieces, sigining the puzzle piece meant that we were willing to give God complete control, that makeup one big circle. The  pieces were training camp, race routes, teammates, adventure, and God.

1.) Training Camp – to break the expectations and stereotypes of what we are holding on to about training.

2.) Race Routes – let go of the routes that we want to go on because of countries we feel like we want to go to and let God guide us in the routes that He wants us to be on.

3.)Teammates – to let God navigate who he wants us to be with as a team. Although we might think we want to be on a team with a particular person or even that we don’t want to be on a persons team, God put us on that team for a reason. Their weaknesses could be our strength and our strength could be their weakness. Whatever the case may be, iron sharpens iron, and we were put there for a reason.

4.) Adventure – to break the norms and allow God to take control of everything that goes on this week and for the next 11 months.

5.) God – to allow God to break/smash the box that I have been putting Him in and to allow God to be God. Also to give Him all control; to break through our thoughts on religion, theologies, and any other misconceptions that we may have about Christianity.

Now I have to go to bed because we have to meet at 7 a.m. and we have to hold tight to our time frame. I can’t be late on the very first morning at camp!! Thanks and God bless you all!!
