I don’t even know where to begin. I want to do so much good in the world and want to bring everyone that I come in contact with to Jesus, if they haven’t already given their life to Him. I have been waiting on the chance to go to Haiti for a very long time now. Now that I finally have the opportunity I can’t imagine what it will really be like. Based on everything that I have heard about Haiti I know that it will be an experience that will last a lifetime.
I also can’t wait to go to China. Not because I want to see the Great Wall or see a booming economy, but because I want to reach out to a nation of people that are not allowed to praise the name of Jesus. None of us in America can imagine what that is like. None of us understand the amount of struggle it must be to not know or to never have heard about the Creator of the Heavens sending His son to die on the cross to save us from certain death. Oh man am I excited!!
I try to imagine what it will be like to live a life of abandonment; without running water, sewage, electricity, a/c, etc. We will be sleeping in tents for most of the 11 months we are on the race. We will also have all of our gear and clothes in ONE checked bag and ONE carry on bag. Can you imagine going 11 months with only one suitcase and a book bag. I know I can’t. But this is where I take the road less traveled, because I get excited when I think about leaving everything behind; to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. I can’t fathom going to 11 different countries all in one trip. I only talked about two countries that I can’t wait to visit, what about the other 9 that I know nothing about…talk about a culture shock!!
I continue to pray that all that I need to enable me to go on this wonderful and exciting trip for God will be provided through the body of Christ; essentially, YOU!! I will be praying for you. I will be praying that you have the heart to give and that God will bless your life tenfold for blessing one of His children. You will be doing exactly what God has asked us to do by enabling those who seek to make disciples of men among the farthest nations to get out into the field. It is not in my nature to ask for people to give so that I may receive. I am the type that likes to give; humbly and honorably. I love you all and thank you for taking the time to read this. That in itself is an answered prayer.
