There is a season for everything. From August to September, my season of growth was with my team Joholo. I spent 3 months getting to know them, to love them, to pour into them as they have poured into me. And as much as we wanted to extend and prolong our season together, it came time for a new season for our squad. We have 3 new squad leaders (Mike, Denise and Tamica) being raised up, as our current squad leaders: Brian, Stacy and Caitlin finish their season with us at the end of November.
Teams have been shifted and new teams have been formed as part of this new season of change for us. We sometimes hang on to a season in our lives when things are good and we don’t want to anticipate change. It is the changes in season that makes us grow, and helps us to again be refined and not be in a season that becomes too comfortable for us. It’s God’s way to grow us in the seasons of change.
My new team is Team Sofia! Our team was formed when we were in Sofia, Bulgaria. Sofia means wisdom and so the name was born.
Grant Tarjick – Grant is our team leader. He may be 10 years my junior but he has my utmost respect to be my leader on this team. God is really training him to be a Godly leader and I’ve had the privilege to watch him grow in his leadership abilities. He’s got humility and respect down already and I can’t wait to see how God will teach and grow him to be a man of God that He’s created him to be. I know that he will always have our backs.
Joe Bunting – Joe has a great passion for knowledge and writing. I have to often bind the spirit of comparison with

him and Liz, who also is an avid writer. Joe is quite in tuned to each member of our team and how we best relate to each other. I am thankful for Joe because he brings such humour to our team when needed but also knows when to be serious and have deep and meaningful conversation.
Liz Bureman – I love Liz and her focussed spirit. We can all be scattered and not know what is going on but we can always count on Liz to be on top of things and get us back on tracki to where we need to be. She is bold when it is time to be bold but most of the time, she is sweet and gentle always ready to educate us with her “word of the day” 🙂
Dez Loeppky – Sweet sweet Dez who will one day become an amazing leader as I see so much leadership

qualities in her. She will be a leader by example and has already done so through her very candid and open sharing of her life and her verbal encouragements to us. I am hugely encouraged by Dez and her ability to pick up on the little things we do and then letting us know that.
April Wright – how lucky I am to be together with my little sister Ape again! She is my sounding board for most of my thoughts and emotions and because we have spent the past 3 months together, our friendship have developed into a deeper foundation that she is able to understand me without me having to verbally express my thoughts. That is a true gift of friendship and something that I do not take for granted.
We have spent the past 2 weeks together, we are learning to transition into a new season but we are committed to doing it together. I look back and smile warmly at my season with JOHOLO and look forward and smile in anticipation of my season with SOFIA. There is a time for everything. For now, we are embracing the change.
