Hello there!!!

Hello from Thailand!  Before I get too much into other things, I want you to know that for our next month in Laos, I need to password protect this blog by November 15th.  SO, should you want to read anything posted, here is the password: juliaworldrace.  Not so creative, some are really fun :o), but hopefully memorable for you, nonetheless!  DO NOT write anything about us doing Christian activities in Laos when you comment here, on Facebook, or even in emails, and do not use the “M” word…missionary.

So, God’s been so good!  Communication has been a bit harder with my computer having been surged last month (plugged in my speakers and it shut the screen down), so prayers for that to get fixed would be great, but honestly, God is amazing!  And, I’ve been able to borrow computers sometimes from sweet people.  Also, for the first time, I baptized a phone…in the toilet.  Irony…I had just taken off the lifeproof case to be able to plug it into some speakers and that’s when it went in.  Sigh…so pictures are at a minimum right now.  I’m so sorry, but will try to get some up for Thailand and if you are on Facebook, there were some up there, as well.  Technology had a rough month.  Never surged a computer and never baptized a phone before…it can only go uphill from here in this area and hopefully they’ll both be back up and running in the near future.

Last month in Nepal was all squad month…which means there were 46 people in one house!  We were working with a man named Brian Williams, his wife, and their team in Kathmandu.  It was a whirlwind!  Seriously :o)!  We did all sorts of ministry from going to slums, playing soccer with street kids, performing skits, climbing mountains and praying over cities…and seeing the Everest range!  Surreal!, going on “treasure hunts” where we prayed and God literally led us to places and people He showed us at the beginning of the day…unbelievable!, leading bible studies, painting ministry centers, etc…the sky was the limit last month!

Nepal was full of art, adventure, and lots of interesting people and places!  It’s the trekking capital of the world, so we met people from all over the globe!  We were able to meet God through art, music, and the beauty around us.  It was a joy to experience all of this with all the people on our squad!  We even got to have our squad leaders, Ashley and Justin, our squad mentor, Chris, and our squad coaches, Kris and Doug come out to teach us and spend time with us.  This allowed for some precious times of digging in to the Lord and areas in which He wants us to grow.  As you can see from my last post, God is doing a lot not just through us, but to us :o), so I can’t thank you enough for your prayers and encouragements.

My next blog will highlight a little more about what is going on in Thailand!  God is showing off here!!!  My team and I are doing Unsung Heroes this month, which means we get to a place with no contacts, no lodging, etc…and see how and whom God provides and goodness, has He provided!!!  We are also looking for ministries to bring future World Race teams to…and again…God has provided!!!!  He had us meet the man who knows all pastors, ministries, and church people…on the first day we were here in Pattaya!  Couldn’t have asked for more!  We’ve met amazing people with huge hearts and have been blown away by their generosity and desire to show God’s love to us and those around them.

Love y’all!  More to come!  Please know that you really are on this race with us!  God is doing mighty things!!!

WE’RE ALL ONE BODY!  He’s working in and through you!  Don’t be shy to share some of your own stories below!  God stories are always an encouragement!  We are praying for you!  Please share any prayer requests, as well!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13

LOVE AND HUGS!
