This month i have been in Moldova. here is a map for those who don’t now where that is
my team and i have been moving around a lot this month. we have stayed at 3 places and are leaving to one more in the morning. the first week we were in the capital Chisinau. we worked with a youth group doing small groups some evangelism and a service.
the next week we went to a village that was about an hour outside of the capital. even though it was somewhat close it was still very much a village. we got out water from a well, our heat from chopping fire wood and a stove oven. we all stayed in one room there were anywhere from 10 to 12 people and left no room for walking. it was cold and the only room that had the heat was our living dining and bedroom. we went around and found people who needed help. we plowed some fields with shovels, chopped wood, cleaned and plowed some more. we would be plowing fields and at any moment it would start raining or sleeting. there was a lot of mud.
this past week we have been about 15 mins outside of the capital staying with a family from one of the churches. in the mornings we were going to the high school and talking and teaching english. in the afternoons we would help with the kids. we played soccer, game and just hung out. they also had some bible lessons. yesterday and today it has been really nice out i didn’t need to wear my jacket all day. its so nice to have good weather! finally t-shirts! today we went to the park after church. it was a nice way to celebrate easter.
i feel like this month has been stretching me in ways i didn’t and couldn’t see coming. i am learning how to put my everything in Him and its harder than it sounds.
