Friday night 20 of my good friends and their kids came together to support me. We ate pizza and enjoyed each other’s company. This gathering blessed me both emotionally and financially. I am so thankful to know that people have my back as I embark on this adventure. I wouldn’t be able to do this apart from the support of others. Thank you!
However, while my fundraising has gotten under way I am far from fully funded. As of today I am 20% funded. Here are some ways to help with the other 80%:
If you’re in the Spokane area:
1) Join me for an event!
Here’s what’s currently scheduled:
- Crossfit Fundraiser – Join me on Saturday October 18th for an awesome workout and fun with friends. 1pm at Warrior Camp 5027 E Trent, Spokane Valley – $15 suggested donation.
- Ryean Brock Live in Concert – Friday November 7th for a night of music and testimony by Ryean. 7pm at West Central YFC 1309 N Ash, Spokane – $5 for YFC students & $10 for the general public.
Here’s what’s in the works:
- BBQ – Come eat yummy food sometime in mid-November
- Wine, Cheese Cake & Jam – Come enjoy a night of fun and friends sometime in mid-December
2) Buy a yard game:
The game of Kubb AKA Stick Whacky if a fun outdoor game for the whole family. Worried that the good weather will soon be gone, don’t be – Kubb can be played in the snow. This game is very portable, leave it in your car and take it where ever you go.
Check out the rules: http://www.kubb.co.uk/Kubb_rules%20.pdf
We’re selling sets for $45
3) Buy a raffle ticket:
My wonderful mom has donated a quilt she made of the Hungry Caterpillar (44” X 62”). This quilt would be great for any child or child at heart. Tickets are $5 each.
If you would like to purchase one of these items you can:
- Leave me a message
- Facebook me
- E-mail: [email protected]
- Talk to me in person
If you’re in the Salem area:
You can buy a yard game or quilt raffle ticket – See above for details
Note: I will be making my way to Salem in the next month or so (date TBD). At that time I can bring sets of Kubb. I am also willing to speak at community groups and would love to do some kind of group fundraiser. Please contact me at: [email protected] if you have any ideas or would like to host.
