HELLO! MERRY CHRISTMAS! and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Welcome to the first blog of SOUTH AFRICA. Sorry but its been a little long since i’ve been online. The internet is pretty slow and we only get to use it through a 10-15 min bus ride to the big city down by the Bay.
The Bali Wedding was beautiful and i’m so glad that i was able to be even just a little part of it. I played the music as they walked down the aisle… just beat-box style…
Any way i hope you had a wonderful Christmas together and know that you were missed. My Christmas was rather weird down here on the South African beach. I’ve never been in a hotter Christmas, nor so close to the beach. But it was super fun. The best of friends, all sorts of good food and spent all night playing together. We even had a little white elephant exchange!.
The ministry focus this month has been with all of the little kids in the close by schools. Almost all of the kids are from the poorer parts of the town and just love being loved on. Pretty much every day (except for this week) we have gone to the place where the kids all live and picked them up; about 70 of them, then spend about 2-3 hours putting on skits and playing games with them. But playing games for me usually consists of wrestling with/getting beaten up by all of the guys from the group. I’ve got bruises.
Oh also i went for a run the other day through the back bush village and was actually bitten on the leg by a dog. No REALLY! I think it was because we were bringing Joy through singing “We wish you a Merry Christmas” but i also did it to protect the girls that i was running with.
Other than that, the contacts are letting us take this week off for the Holidays and there are a bunch of us that are going bungee jumping tomorrow and then a small group thats helping out at this 10 km race along the beach called the “Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge” the next day. I’ll be running in the 10k road race and then kayaking in the 6 km swim…
…but its to help volunteer for the swimmers
The bungee jump is supposed to be the tallest bridge jump in the world, so I’ll let you guy know how that all goes. Thanks to my beautiful Aunt and Uncle’s financial help I’ll be able to go.
Anyway life has been great. Love is just blossoming and the beautiful Love of Jesus just keeps making its self known to all these kids. Hope that all is going well with you!
Well I will be keeping you all posted and let you know how the rest of the month goes.
Live Simply. Love Love.

When you sponsor a child it not only provides a hot meal, clean water, discipleship, and basic medical care for the child, it also supports their family by inviting them through the gates of the CarePoint to receive training, discipleship and mentorship.
