Hello All that i love so dearly,

To those of you that keep my heart there in the United States, this blog comes with much Joy and happiness, for tomorrow we leave for Bolivia!!! This isn’t meant to say that we are leaving on a bad note or that leaving will be a relief but instead to say that with every step we take there are more people that are coming to know the Love of Christ. I’ll never know the impact which I’ve left on these people here but the Joy thats on their faces when we sing songs, dance on birthdays, hand out invitation in the park, or learn spanish through breaking tranlations will forever ring as an encouragement in my heart. These smiles tell me,

“Joshua, what you and your family of few are making a difference; that you all are leaving an impact which will resinate in their hearts. And though they may forget your name (or never have learned it in the first place ;0) the memories that truly last are not the ones that sit in your head, but the ones that you feel in your heart.”

A little bit of update on the ministry thats been here and the ministy yet to come is this; the regular week looked like:

  • Every day doing meals at the same time in the church, which in on the other side of town, so this let us get to know many of the regular vendors, guards, or bus men on the street.

  • Getting time to do ministry in the team and prepare for other ministries in the day after breakfast.

  • Doing ministry in the streets and through out the neighborhood in the afternoon. (This let us get to know and introduce us to the people who weren’t always in the street)

  • Then playing games with the teens (Soccer/futbol, voleybol, jenga, cards, phase 10) after dinner

Wednesdays were ‘free days’ to go see the rest of this great country, like the ruins, the beach, sand boarding in the Andes, and Hiking a mountain (look at Allison Prysiazny’s facebook or blog to see pictures www.AllisonPrysiazny.theWorldRace.org).

and Weekends were used to go to the childrens ministries that the church supports in the poor centers of close towns. Games, new songs, laughs-a-million and the smiles that could melt your heart were what filled our days. (this is what the video was of but that is just taking far to long to load, so i’ll get back to you on that one)

Many of this people this month have really been moved by what the Lord is doing through us and that has lead to many a Joyous tear. Through pain and sickness our team has stayed victorious leaving a bright shining light here in the partly cloudy city of Laredo, Peru.

Bolivia

The day has quickly come to leave for Bolivia. The bus tickets are bought & adventure awaits:

— There’s a 12 hr bus ride to Lima, then 11 to Lake Titicaca in the high alpine mountains of the

Andes along the border, then another 16-20 to our home city for the month.

— There’s a little visit to the highest lake in South America (Lake Titicaca)

— There’s a month of ministry with the youth that are being helped off the city streets

— There’s a mystery city location (because they’d like us to wait till we get there to disclose it)

— There’s another month of loving the hard to love in amazing ways

These are the many great things that await us in this next month.

Love you all. Thanks for reading this lengthy blog (i had to play catch up)  I’ll keep trying to get the video blogs posted. Please keep us in your prayers and know that you are in ours.

In the name of Christ BE STRONG!

Josue
