Hey family I want to start off by saying thank you to all who donated to me and supported me during this time! The time is near for me to leave to Cambodia and I’m really excited to go, but in order for me to go I still need to raise $2,642. Now let me tell you what I’m going to do in Cambodia. Monday – Thursday from 8-11 I’ll be working with preschoolers. Then from 4-7 I’ll be working with 50 different students of all ages teaching them computer skills, with only 4 computers. I’ll know more once I’m there and soon as I do I will be informing you guys! I’m going to share some of my feelings about fundraising, its hard I absolutely hate asking people for money. It’s hard because my pride says you don’t need help you could do it yourself it says stop bugging people, but I know that’s not true, It’s my insecurities that tell me these thoughts. I know they’re so many generous people out there who have the same heart to help others. I remember a story that my father had told me when I was young about my grandpa. When my grandpa was younger he used to go on short term missions to Mexico and his agenda was to feed the homeless and to show the love of Jesus. Going forward to my grandpa’s funeral there was this man speaking and giving a eulogy about him he didn’t speak any English but he was speaking so passionately. Later my dad told me that he was one of the homeless men my grandpa had helped out and how he changed his life. From being homeless on the streets to becoming a pastor for a church of 150 members. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m not going on the world race to try to solve the world problems, but to change that one person who’s going to plant a church or help bring people to Christ. That’s where my heart for this trip is all about.
