My name is Joshua Dodd. God has called me to go on an 11 month, 11 country mission trip….Here is the story. In 2003, I received Christ as my Savior just after the loss of one of my closest friends. Early in my walk with my Savior, HE pricked my heart to help others in their time of need. When the tornadoes ripped through Tuscaloosa, AL, He burdened my heart to go and do His work in any way I could. After much prayer over this calling, the Lord sent me to Tuscaloosa to serve the victims of the area by cutting down trees, covering roofs with tarps, passing out food to those in need after the storm, and spending hours talking to and praying with the people of Tuscaloosa. While there, the Lord again pricked my heart to serve and I found myself spending time with the kids in that area. In doing so, I found that there was a Church coming from a neighboring state to teach VBS (Vacation Bible School)to the children of the area that had been affected by the tornado. I jumped at the opportunity to spend time with these kids and to help teach in any way I could. This VBS helped the kids to forget what had happened to them just a few weeks before and God began to work through these people to change countless lives.

God has since called me to continue serving in the area of missions by pricking my heart to reach out to others in need through an amazing 11 month, 11 country mission trip. I will be teaming up with the World Race, a ministry team based out of Gainesville, GA. The World Race organization is made up of people that have accomplished the 11 month 11 country mission trip at one time or another. Their website can be found at www.theworldrace.org. On this mission trip, I will travel to and have the privilege to serve in these countries; Bulgaria, Romania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala. While in each of these countries, I will have the opportunity to lead people to Christ, discipline other Christians and working primarily with the youth in each area. We will also be teaming up with local churches in each area to do God's work. While with the churches we will be teaching VBS, playing sports, and sharing God's love with the kids.

This mission trip is a financial leap of faith. In order to accomplish God's work and to be an instrument in growing HIS Kingdom, I will need approximately $20,000 to fund travel, food, living expenses, mission work, VBS material, and the vaccinations required to travel to all of these countries. It would truly be a blessing if you could help me with God's calling for my life. We will be building churches, evangelizing door to door, fighting human trafficking, caring for the homeless, teaching English in schools, ministering through prayer, preaching in the streets, living with gypsies, providing orphans with homes, reaching out to the prostitutes and feeding the hungry. The only way that this can be accomplished is by the will of God and your generous donations in HIS honor. I would ask that you pray and search your hearts and give as HE would have you give. I thank you in advance for your help in making it possible to serve Christ.

May God Bless You,
Joshua Dodd
