Ok, so when i found out i wasn't going to Mozambique i have to say i was a little disappointed at first, but my expectations of Malawi was going to be blown out of the water. This Continent is Crazily Awesome!
First i must say that this country was absolutely beautiful. The people once again, as the same with Tanzania, were absolutely amazing. I mentioned before that i was told Africa is war torn and they hate Christians, watch out for persecution and so on. Well we have experienced the opposite by far.
First, we worked with three different pastors. And had such different experiences with all three. We had the opportunity to work in villages where missionaries had never been. Witness to Muslims, people that had never heard of Jesus, deliver bibles and food, start new churches (one literally started under a tree), and bring more people to Christ than i have ever seen. I'm talking, these people we're thirsty for God. Asking good questions, wanting to hear more when we finished, asking for bibles, and simply loving life and being more joyful than most Americans i have ever seen. They draw water from wells, or walk miles to get it. There are babies (young children) carrying babies on their backs, eating a corn meal based substance for every meal, yet, offering us food to eat, and soda or water to drink. They lived in mud huts with mats on the floor and a charcoal very small fire to cook on. They provided for their families the best they can, and have help humble me in the process. We were'nt allowed to take much footage, or pics either. Relationships are key here,
Malawi way Great! Amazing! & Beautiful!
I probably sound like a broken record, but my ministry in Malawi was my favorite on the trip. I found more people thirsty for Christs Love, more people willing to give more than they have, and more people seeking a God that brings Joy, Love, Hope, and Restitution to the broken and needy.
Ps. Did i mention i watched a guy that had a bad knee get healed in church. 😉
All i can say, Is that Crazy things happen in Africa!
