Awesome Update…. I am only $878.06 away from being fully funded!!! God is amazing!!!
Missionary DIES!!!!
As this journey began for me it was full of excitement and curiosity. I had been on other mission trips, but nothing this long, deep, or fast paced.
We began in Dominican Republic. Teaching, Preaching, Singing, and working in the community.
Haiti was a quick change of reality with the poor of the poor. Children getting beat as my alarm clock, and 6 hour drives to country churches.
Thailand we taught English and had so much fun. Witnessed to my buddhist student, and hosted an open mic night singing worship songs to buddhists.
Malaysia we worked on a palm oil plantation, spoke in churches, and ministered to locals.
Cambodia was the month for the MEN to get together and have great fellowship, serve one another as well as some amazing villages that have very sad stories, and witness to another buddhist student who later would come to our bible studies.
And this month…Tanzania Africa… we have preached on the spot in churches for up to 6 and a half hour services, walked the hot dusty roads in search of anyone that is willing to listen, and my favorite of all, visited a local Maasai Tribe where we were able to speak, preach, sing, dance, and love on them, as much as they wanted to love on us.
Oh, yeah, and one of my favorite parts, a man heard there was poisonous snake at a village nearby, so we ran there… Ran.. Spears in hand, we went on a hunt for a Black Mamba! Heck yes! A Black Mamba hunt with the Maasai! Only one word describes this…AWESOME!
During this process something happens, I have had to learn to die to myself in order to better serve others. Something I learn how to do better and better each month. However, I will never be the servant Jesus was, yet, I strive to be. I have only 5 and a half months left on the 11 month journey, I am half way through! Crazy! I take off in a week and a half for Mozambique, then Swaziland. I never thought in my wildest dreams I would be in Africa witnessing to the Maasai tribe, much left still have 5 more countries, 5 more ministries, and 5 more months of amazing experiences left, and so much more of Gods love to give!
As this missionary Dies, Learns better to live for and serve others, I am so thankful that you have followed along thus far. I am at a point in my trip where our funds are meant to be fully met. I am short about seventeen hundred dollars however. If I had 34 supporters donating a one time gift of fifty dollars that would make me fully funded. As mentioned thank you so much for all of your support, both financially and prayerfully thus far, as it means so much. Please keep following along, and please share this amazing experience with your friends and family. More blogs, pictures and videos to come.
