Dear Friends and Family,
Have you ever imagined living your life in a way that has a true Godly meaning behind everything you do? I have! Which is why I am about to embark on a mission trip trekking across eleven countries in eleven months spreading the ever loving joy and truth of God our Father.
After spending Christmas of 2010 at an orphanage in the Philippines working on building projects, and preparing food for a feeding of 800 to have more than 2000 people show up. We pulled together and fed everyone, just to be able to love on orphan children every chance I had.
I was blessed enough to go back in July of 2011, though this trip was much different. I had the opportunity to travel deep into the mountains to give supplies to indigenous villages, help with building a bamboo church, spoke a short sermon at Bukidnon State University on Salvation to a group of college kids, and played the worship music at a Saturday children’s camp for approx 300 children… and these are only a few of the things! WOW, what an adventure right!? And all for the good Lord above.
Here at home I belong to Rock Brook Church in Belton, and have become a member, and regular attendee for about 3 years now. I also lead a music ministry at City Union Mission on the second Monday of every month. This along with my trips to the Philippines has ultimately lead me to where I know I’m being called and with your support I can get there!
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27
So you are probably wondering what this amazing experience is!
Its Called the World Race! It starts for me on September 1, 2012. I will be visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Tanzania, Mozambique, Swaziland, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Moldova, Romania, and Ireland. There will be various organizations we will be partnering with in each country. I will be doing everything from caring for orphans, building houses, planting churches, ministering to women and children trapped in prostitution, local ministry and much more. The World Race is a chance to abandon worldly possessions and a traditional lifestyle in exchange for an understanding that it's not about you; it's about the Kingdom.
My past trips have had an amazing, positive impact and influence on how to live my life.. I would also love you to be a part of the next step of my journey and to allow me to have an impact on your lives through this experience as well.
As with anything else, this trip does cost money, $15,500 to be exact. This will cover all of my expenses for the entire year. I fully trust that God will provide the support I need, both prayerfully and financially, as I have no doubts I have been led to this mission by no accident. Please know that I don’t want you feeling pressured to financially support me, I do ask that you prayerfully consider it, and keep me in your prayers throughout this journey. Twenty five people pledging $50 a month for 12 months, provides the funds necessary for this mission, although anything helps. Plus, any funds donated are all tax deductible as well. (501c3).
There are a few different options when it comes to financially supporting me:
1) Online – If you go to, www.worldrace.org , you can go to “Donate”, type in my name, and leave me a gift, either one-time or monthly. Or go to the personal blog for my trip and Support me online there as well.
JoshSturdevant.theworldrace.org
2) You can be a DynaPay Donor. This is an automatic deduction from a checking account each month with no fees. You will need to fill out this form and send it to the AIM headquarters.

3) Send a check! The information below explains the process.
I have enclosed a response card and preaddressed envelope which invites you to share in the ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions PO Box 534470 Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. It would be ideal to have all my support raised by the time I depart on 9/1/12, but support can still be given during the process of the trip.
As mentioned above, I will have a Blog throughout this trip. I will be updating this as much as possible, as well as adding picture when I can so I can share this amazing trip with you as I go. At anytime my blog is available to visit and browse. Thank you for giving me your time to read this, and I cannot thank you enough for being a part of this mission journey with me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
God Bless
Josh
