Up to this point, my ministry in India has been behind a camera and laptop. The contact we are working with needed video’s for their website to help get the word out about their needs and raise awareness about what God is doing. Although this is not traditional “mission work” it’s great to be able to meet the needs as simple as a camera.
However, today was different.
Poverty in India can be very overwhelming. It’s hard to help everyone and where do you even start? For so many it’s become a way of life to them. Many live on the generosity of others but because there is SO much need, these people are often ignored.
My team was able to partner with other Indian’s to pass out rice to those begging on the streets. We carried large sacks filled with prepackaged bags of rice. If anyone asked for something, we would give them rice and pray for them. It was amazing to see something so small change their entire day.
Below is a video I was privileged to make. I handed out many bags of rice and also recorded others on my team doing the same.
Small bags of rice… There is no gift that is too small, so what gift can you give to someone today?
