Sometimes it’s hard to see God working in our ministry. If there seems to be no physical healing or change that comes with the ministry that God has blessed my team and I with, I struggle to see the fruit being produced from it. I mean I know He’s using our service and bold actions to spread his glory and all, but I don’t understand it! Why can’t he just produce fruit in every act of service or love that we do! I have to admit, I set pretty high expectations for Him! “For emample, I recently prayed for healing for this man who had a limp! Its frustrating when I don’t see immediate results or when things don’t go as expected! God you called me to go on this trip and you provided the funds and the prayer support from family and friends! You even brought my team and I together for a reason and a sole purpose. Well God what reason and purpose do you have for us! This is what my conversation with God went like today! I see God radically pouring his spirit through my teammates to those they influence through prayer and service. I opened my bible and I read this: My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.(1 Corintthians 2:4-5) Paul is explaining to the Church of Corinth of how they should Pursue their faith in God. This hit home for me! I came to the realization that the devil was trying to trick me into thinking that the work God is doing through me is not making a difference and is not touching those being influenced through it! It is crazy the grip the devil has. He will use any form of doubt, or any burden to yank us away farther away from God! My faith in God is not in human wisdom but in the wisdom and power of the Lord! God is good! This made me realize that I need to have faith that God will do his part; I just need to acknowledge him in everything that I do so that He may make my paths straight! The same night that this conversation that I had with God took place, my team and I went and did a prayer walk. This is where we would go out and love, serve and pray for those in the city and we have faith that God’s spirit and love will spread and impact others! That night God led me to this guy who was drunk! In That instant I felt the holy spirit empower me to ask him if there was anything I could do for him or pray for! I could feel the holy spirit’s presence overwhelm this man to tell me his story and ask me to do something for him! He wanted me to help himget gifts for his children so tjat they could see how much he loved him! Having faith that God will provide, I was obedient to His request! As he was crying, I prayed for him and he prayed for me! Through this experience, God answered all the questions, and removed all the doubt, that I had built up within me, earlier that day, all at once. He told me that through His glory that I will do great things and impact so many through the passion I have for serving Him. This experince brought me out of the spiritual rut and showed me how GOOD GOD TRULY IS! God I am on fire for you and ready to carry out your eternal plan that you have for me! Its not about me anymore, its all about you and your glorious kingdom!
