For as long as I can remember, I have loved being in the water. As small as a pool, or as big as an ocean, I’ve taken every opportunity to jump in. There is something wonderfully amazing about it. Maybe you are like myself and have tested the water before diving in. Putting in one foot, just to make sure it’s comfortable. Maybe you don’t even like the water so you stay away from it. Maybe you love the water, so you dive in without ever testing it out.
I’ve grown up in church, I’ve worked with youth for over 10 years, and I’ve been on multiple mission trips. The majority of the time I have tried to lead a Christian life my way, and not HIS. I’ve had one foot in the water, testing to see if God’s way is better. This year, God has called me not to test the water, He wants me to jump in, and trust HIM.
Choosing to jump in has pushed me into a deeper relationship with Him. His never ending love is deep, and like a wave, it crashes over me. He has called me to go deeper, and minister for 11 months in 11 countries. Everyday I trust HIM. I am overcome with a wonderful feeling. I am left relaxed, at peace, knowing He is in control.
