Hey guys
Vietnam was interesting. Our month there was pretty much undercover. This was the first country that we could not openly evangelize to people about Christ. The government has been know to send people to jail or have them deported out the country. So ministry was very much on the down low. We helped out in an HIV clinic praying with patients, and we assisted a church in the northern mountains of Vietnam with there pig farm. It was really fun!
This month I was with Team New Song. These guys are great and we had some amazing times together. This month we did not have much work to do so we had a lot of down time. So it was really nice spending so much time with the team learning and building each other up. We had some great pray times and worship moments during this month. Good stuff!!!
…….and then we get to Africa
At one point I was scared to death of Africa. I would tell my parents when I was younger, “I don’t want to be a Christian because God will make me go to Africa.”
Yeah, I know all of HEAVEN is laughing now.
I have been listening to one of Kris Vallotton sermons about taking back our inheritance.
“Fear is Faith in the wrong guy” Kris Vallotton
This one statement has really got me thinking about how easy it is for us to take fear over faith. This is a continual battle that we must win as Christians. Well I am sure that we will be tested here in Africa…..
Today I found out that our ministry is located 17 hours of a bus ride north from where we are currently located. So to total this transition of traveling. We had 8 hours from Vietnam to Cambodia. 15 hours from Cambodia to Bangkok, 9 hour flight from Bangkok to Kenya, then a short 3 hours to Ghana. This puts us at. 51 hours of traveling. It was all worth it!!!
When we arrived at the Ghana airport we were greeted by a bus load of Pastors that have driven hours just to greet us. There smiles and loving hugs made it all worth the trip.
