Training For The Field

The ten day training camp in Georgia has been one of the best God marking moments of my life. I actually met up with 14 World Races two days before camp……. we had a blast, at the very least. We spent two full days drinking coffee and telling stories; which seemed to make us either cry of laughter or heart ache. In those two days we became astonishingly united, it was truly unbelievable and incomprehensible how well we fit together. God is Wonderful!!

The first few days of camp began with the most revolutionary teaching anyone could imagine. Pastor Michael Hindes taught on receiving and living by the Spirit of God. Absolutely amazing to see God move on everyone’s life in such a powerful manner. A few more days into camp we learned firsthand the importance of culture differences and culture norms.

EXAMPLE-1. For a full day all the guys had to walk holding hands and greet each other with a kiss. “awkward” EXAMPLE-2. We learned that spitting water on someone’s face can be a sign of blessing. “It was just a game.” EXAMPLE-3.  For a full day the girls served the guys every meal and then we watched them in a distance eat on the ground. “Sorry ladies, it wasn’t my idea”

We laughed together, we cried together, we played underground church together and lost. Camp was amazing!!! I now understand what Jesus meant when he said that we are brothers and sisters in Him. I left camp with watery eyes significantly knowing that I will miss this community very much. Compassion & Special  “Love you” Camp was growth, process, intimacy, courage, forgiveness, unity, joy, integrity, freedom, harmony, confidence, true love, and

                     THE KINGDOM!!!!!
