Jesus was never hesitant to use
children as the ultimate example of God’s love to us. Heck, he even
says we should be like them to enter into the Kingdom! This month
it’s becoming obvious what he’s talking about, being surrounded by
his beautiful children.

We are living in an orphanage with less than
20 precious children, eager to greet us each morning with a big
bright smile and hug… not a bad way to start your morning. They
range from ages 5-15, some have parents (who cannot support them
financially) and some do not.

Our day-to-day for the past 2 weeks has
been focused around a daily program for the kids; it’s ranged from
educational games of bingo to acting out skits from the Bible. The
children are genuinely interested in what we have been teaching them,
and are so well behaved.

I’ve really enjoyed getting to see the
differences God’s instilled in each of them. They each have their
different quirks and mannerisms that become funny little reminders of
how early we become exactly who we are today!

Each morning when I look off the
balcony down below, I see a similar scene: the kids will be down
there washing each other’s hair, doing the laundry, filling up water
buckets, or washing dishes. The way they help each other is truly a
sight to see. Like I said, I think Jesus was on to something when he
referred to children so often.

Nepal is a beautiful place to live;
between the 360-degree panoramic sweep of mountains, the cool breeze,
and symmetrical farmland on the ridges, I think God was in quite
a good mood when he created this place!

We took the kids to
the Central Zoo the other day. Here are some pictures from the
outing; they had a grand time!

Just a reminder that you can see all my pics from the previous 8 months here!
