I am about to embark on an incredible journey that combines my love and passion for travel, service and Jesus. Please allow me a brief moment of your time as I tell you about this incredible calling God has put in my heart, and invite you to partner with me during this remarkable experience. This October, I am stepping out in faith and participating in the World Race, traveling through 11 different countries for 11 months with just my backpack and tent.

I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. It was an incredible experience that taught me so much more than the lessons in the classroom. Looking back on the past 4 years, the summer of my sophomore year was probably the most impactful. I was blessed with the opportunity to go Haiti with my church, Austin Stone, for a mission trip and the Lord absolutely captured my heart in a way I had never experienced before. I distinctly remember sitting in the dirt, surrounded by poverty and being overcome with an unforgettable sense of self-being, confidence, reassurance, peace, understanding and warmth as I felt the Holy Spirit flooding over me. It was in that moment I knew God was calling me to Mission work.

Since that time, I’ve spent Christmas breaks and spring breaks working with orphans in Tanzania, Africa, reinforcing my passion and leading me to once again go and spread His word. The World Race will allow me to further fulfill His calling on my life. This opportunity allows me to work with an incredible team as we partner with local churches and ministries in 11 different countries. Every month will look a little different as we preach the Gospel, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in human trafficking, plant local churches, and/or just love on the people we meet along the way.

I am beyond thankful, each day, that God has surrounded me with people who have flooded me with love and I cannot wait to reciprocate not only my love, but God’s love to those in need. However, due to the nature of the ministry, there is a significant deal of financial support I must raise ($16,500). I am reaching out to you and would be so incredibly grateful if you would come along beside me in helping me reach this huge goal. If you would like to partner with me financially, there is a card enclosed that explains how to mail in donations, or you may support me online by going to my blog (link below) and clicking on the orange “Donate” button located on the fundraising bar at the top of the page. Additionally, all donations are tax deductible!

More importantly, without people praying throughout the entire process, all of our travels and work will be in vain. I would also like to humbly ask you and your family to cover us in prayer as we prepare for this trip. I realize this letter cannot fully capture my hearts intent, as words cannot adequately express the overflowing drive and desire I feel right now. I eagerly invite you to witness how your prayers and support are working through me by following my blog. I have already and will continue to blog throughout the entire time. Thank you for allowing me to share what is in my heart and for your consideration in partnering with me. If you have any questions or would like more information, I would love to speak with you.

God Bless,
