Last month in Peru, we had various ministries throughout the month. Since the whole F squad was together, each week we would spilt up the tasks for each team. So for a week of the month Team Tonka which is my team volunteered to cook for squad. Since of being involved in other ministries for that week, cooking became our ministry. It was a lot of fun to spend time with my team. I found out that I’m really good at chopping onions while everyone else in the kitchen is crying. We got the chance to go to the big open market to buy all the produce for the meals, and it was an amazing experience. There were rows upon rows of the most colorful produce. They have every type of fruits and vegetables you could want.
The open market.

Another week in Peru, we held a VBS for the children in the community. Each day the kids would rotate through the four stations that were set up: crafts, snacks, games, and skits. The teams of the squad once again had a task that they would preform for VBS. As for at Team Tonka, we chose skits. We were assigned different bible stories to make up a skit for each day. We had a blast acting out the stories.
This is David and Goliath.

This s Joan and the whale…I was about to push him out of the boat.

This is Noah and the ark: we were playing all the animals.

We had a lot of fun getting to interact with the kids and being able to make the stories come to life. We love our ministries, and we love getting to serve our squad by cooking for them. i have had the blessing a forming relationships with my team during these ministries and for that I am so thankful.
