I’m a girl that loves to be comfortable. Doesn’t really like change; if change occurs, I selfishly really hope it’s beneficial to me.
With that said, I’ve been extremely comfortable these past couple of years and I’ve recently discovered that it’s been keeping me from walking in obedience to some of the things Gods calling me to do. Whether it’s sharing the Gospel with people I’ve needed to, or loving on people that I’ve been called to love on, I know I could be doing better.
This trip will be my first mission trip ever..
Okay… let me repeat myself. This trip will be my first mission trip EVER.
You might be thinking I’m crazy for going on my first mission trip for 9 months, and I would most definitely have to agree with you. I do think I’m a little a crazy but more importantly I know I’m obedient.
My Pastor created an this organization this past year called “Can we Talk?”
http://www.firsteuless.com/canwetalk/
It has given people the tools to equip others in sharing the gospel, and that is one of my main goals in going on this trip, to equip young ladies and young men in sharing the gospel in an effective way. Not only that but watching God use this tool to bring more people to know Him. The gospel is the reason I have hope and my strongest desire is that the unreached people in the countries I am visiting, will get to hear about God and the real hope we have in Christ.
I am going to be challenged, my heart is going to be broken and moved. I am ready to sit back and enjoy the Lords leadership as He takes me to uncomfortable situations. Raising money, becoming vulnerable, stepping out and trusting the Lord every step of the way is all I have to lean on.
I am ready to grow
I am ready to be a light
I am ready to work
I am ready to do what I am called to do
I am ready to live out the gospel
I am realizing more each day that this trip isn’t some step towards righteousness, I am made righteous because Jesus died for me. This trip is me walking in obedience to Gods calling in my life and moving when He says to and following after my Savior. It would take the same kind of action not to go, trusting Gods plan and knowing He has me where I am for a reason and is using me to bring him glory and advance His kingdom.
I would love for each and every person that reads this blog to come along side of me and pray for me, and these upcoming months ahead, and if you’re willing to give to this trip, please know Im beyond thankful no matter the amount.
Thank y’all for taking the time to read my story
