Judah

So I am now in the middle of month 8 of my 11 month trip. Over the past couple of months something has been stirring in our squad. We were becoming restless. A lot of us were craving more exponential growth, but we felt as if we were coasting in our spiritual lives. We needed a change. As far as I know, we are the first squad to really desire a team change-up (subconsciously), and it came last week. I have been with some amazing brothers and sisters the past seven months, but now we each have new teammates in order to push us into more spiritual growth. It was so crazy how smooth, exciting, and perfect the transition was into new teams squad-wide. Now I would like to introduce you to four of my new family members!

Brad: Atlanta, 27

To Asians and Africans he is known as BREAD instead of Brad.

He is not a lover of mango’s, but he can tear up a Guacamole, tuna, and hot sauce sandwich! This man of God is married to the lovely Erika! Brad is our team leader, and it is such a blessing to have such a man of God on my team for the next four months. I am looking forward to push and be pushed by my brother Brad!

Erika: Atlanta, 28

Erika is a P90X queen, she has a huge sweet toot, and is super funny. She is married to the wonderful Brad! She was in the movie THE ISLAND! Woman after God’s own heart. She is real and genuine in her love, in her honesty, and in her walk with God. She and Brad both model what a Godly marriage looks like.

Jamie: Wisconsin, 23

Four words that describe Jamie (not spiritually): Cheese. Soccer. Look-a-like. Media.

Jamie has been someone I have been close to this whole trip. The way she has become vulnerable to God’s word and others is incredible. Jamie is an awesome sister to have, and its about time we are on the same team!

Justine: Minnesota, 23

Three random facts:

1. Her laugh should be recorded as a song. 2. She was captain of her hockey team 3. Her last name starts with a Z, therefore Jay-Z is a potential nickname.

Justine is a woman of God with a HUGE HUGE heart. The joy, faith, and love that radiates off this woman is absolutely amazing.

We have decided to call our new team Judah (obviously after the tribe of Judah). Over the past few months, God has placed a lot of common themes on our hearts and minds, even though we had no idea we would all be on the same team. When our team was first announced, one of our coach’s (Mike Pascal) gave us some words that God gave him. He gave us the words UNFAIR and SCARY. He said it was unfair that 5 people with so much anointing would be on one team, and that it is scary how much firepower we have. He went on to say the banner he saw over us said AUTHORITY. Back in Ghana I had been studying a little bit on the tribe of Judah, and how they were ALWAYS the first in battle because they went out in worship/praise. That is who we want to be. When the question is asked, “Who should we send out first?,” we want to be in a place to be chosen. We as a team are committed to the following norms:
1. Don’t just finish complete
2. There is only one you
3. I am third
4. Walk in your Authority
5. Don’t let the good become the enemy of the best
