I was at church the other night, when i got this awesome vision/illustration from God. By the time i wrote down everything I was “seeing” church was over. It was Awesome and I wanted to share it with you guys:
There was a computer screen with two pictures pulled up:
Picture One: Drops of Sweat sliding down a cheek.
I notice this photo is zoomed in all the way, so I zoom out once. I notice that it is MY cheek with sweat dripping down it. (I wonder what I am doing?) I zoom out again: My face isn’t just sweaty, but my whole body looks drenched. My shirt is definately the wrong color for whatever I am doing, because the sweat is bleeding through my clothes. GROSS! My clothes look pretty messy with wrinkles all over them, like i picked the wrong outfit for the activity I am participating in. But I now see that I am not the only one in the picture. I zoom out again: Now I see that I am surrounded by many women that look like me. All of our hands are raised, our handkerchiefs are flying, and our mouths are open. I zoom out once more: I now see that we are having church. EVERYONE looks free and passionate. I notice that i can change the setting to a “negative” look so i change the picture. Now i am able to see what was going on in the spiritual at the time this moment was captured. There are angels ALL OVER the room. They are on their feet dancing in praise, but they aren’t dressed all neat and clean looking–they are stained with blood. In the corner of the picture slain demons lie lifeless on the floor. There are broken chains all over them. There is also a presence that is filling the room like a cloud. All this was unseen to me, until i changed the setting.
Picture Two: 2″ Black Heels
I notice this picture is all the way zoomed in as well. So I zoom out: A woman i standing. She looks like she has it all together. Her clothes have been ironed, not a single crease. Her hairspray holds well, EVERY hair perfectly in place. She has her right hand up like a model who is waiving. I zoom out again: This woman is surrounded by many people, rows of people. All of these people look well-kept. They are expressionless in their faces though. A few of them have tears in their eyes, and look kind of sad. I zoom out once more: It is a congregation of people at a church. The room looks very nice. I change the setting on this picture, as well, and look at it as a negative. There are chains all over the room. Several people have chains around at least one limb. ALL the chains are leading to the door. There are several angels in the room. They look nice and clean. There is also a presence in the room in this picture as well.
This isn’t a blog about how people dress for church. This isn’t a blog about spiritual differences of the African church or the American church. Actually, both of these “pictures” can exist in the same room. One of the many things I’ve learned while being on this trip, specifically in Africa, is that there is a FREEDOM, a deep freedom. This freedom exists in church, in your form of worship, and in your relationship with God. You can worship God at church in so many different ways. You can paint, dance, sing, play music, write, laugh, clap, have fun, or whatever your expression may be. One thing is certain though, if you go through the motions, then your bound by your strongholds. Your chains lead to your current problems and your strongholds. BUT if you dive into Jesus and walk in your freedom and worship in your freedom, then you will be uncontainable. Nothing could hold you back from worshipping your God. I have been a part of both “pictures” but I would much rather take on the sweat and wrinkles if it means I am worshipping FREE!
