We were asked to write a blog about how we were called to this mission trip. Here is my story…
For quite some time I’ve been anxious about my future. Like many of my friends, there ISN’T a specific moment in time that I was called to full-time ministry or anything like that. In fact, I DON‘T really CARE what I do, as long as I’m making a dent in this world for the Kingdom of God.

A couple months later a friend was praying for me at the altar after a youth service one night. She didn’t know what I was praying for but was led by the Holy Spirit to tell me to, “STOP trying to be the runner, or the finish line, or the starting point, or a spectator. You try to belittle your worth, when you are the most important part of the race! I have called you to be the Baton! With out a BATON the race can’t go on, so you are the most important part.” This meant something to me that night, and as I reflect upon it now, I realize that word affects me now. I am the BATON, who is going to all these countries to bring the hope and light of Jesus.
Other than the fact that I know God has called me, there are three reasons that I know this mission trip is for me. FIRST, I know that traveling to 11 different places in one year is right up my alley- I love to be on the move. SECOND, I know that there will be plenty of adventure and crazy stories to tell at the end of this journey. THIRD, and most importantly, I know that reaching the lost for Christ is what I was born to do
I know God has called me for this TIME, for this PURPOSE, with this TEAM, and I can not wait to see how we ROCK THE WORLD!
