A lot of people ask how I got interested in the World Race.  So here is more of less how it happened.
It all started when I was serving as a short-term missionary in Costa Rica back in November 2010- March 2011.  I met a missionary family there, Courtnay and Jacob Folk and their kids,  who first introduced me to the World Race.  One of the World Race squads had actually worked with the Folks during there time in Costa Rica.  In the time I spent talking to Courtnay and Jacob they told met the World Race would be an amazing way to serve for anyone wanting to do missions work.  So i checked out the website and started reading some of the blogs of current World Racers and was amazed by the stories i read about how God was working in the lives of the people on the race and the people they were working with.  I kept on reading pretty much everyday i think and began to start thinking and praying about being part of a World Race team myself.

I came home from my time in Costa Rica thinking I really wanted to do the World Race but doubt would still creep into my mind sometimes, wondering whether I was crazy to even be considering this.  So i kept on praying about it and finally decided that i had some countries in mind that I would really like to go to if i went on the World Race.  The countries were Moldova, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras.  I promised God that if these countries all were offered in the same route, I would know that the World Race was where God wanted me to be.  After a lot of prayer about this, the September routes were posted and sure enough all these places were part of September Route 1! This almost blew my mind!  It was then that i knew God was calling me to go and serve.

That's how I've come to this point.  I am really excited to go and serve God and the people of Zimbabwe/Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland, India, Philippines, China, Ukraine, Moldova, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica/ Panama.  I'm also really excited to meet and work with all the people on the September Route 1 team!
