Hey friends!
Just wanted to give you a piece of great news….we have reached our first deadline of $3,500 dollars! This means i am able to go to training camp! woohoooo!!
Thanks to everyone who has supported me thus far…i am so honored to be walking this journey along with you! Together we will reach the nations with God's love!! 😀
Just a heads up, our trip is only 10 weeks away!! our next financial deadline is 7 weeks away in which we have to have $6,500 raised. Please keep praying that God will continue to provide, as he alwasy does.
Right now i am espeically praying for people to help me get the supplies i need (ie. tent, backpack, sleeping bag, etc.) I will be making a "gift registry" on amazon of things i need kinda like people do for a baby shower, that way everyone will know exactly what i need 🙂 Also, I am raising a separate amount of money for my travel insurance and my vaccinations/malaria medication.
I'll share a quick story with you about how God reminded me this week that he cares about every little thing, therefore i don't need to worry about anything….
Long story short, i found out that i have to have surgery on my nose and throat because i have constant sinus problems…imagine having terrible allergy issues year around, and that's basically what my problem is. I was worried about not being able to get the surgery done in time to recover before my trip.
When i met the doctor, i could immediately tell that he was a christian. awesome. always a plus. he asked me what i do, and i told him that i'm a missionary and i'm leaving in july for an 11 month mission trip. He said, "that is awesome! i'm a missionary too…to Haiti!" WHAT?!? lol. Not only did Jesus bless me with a christian doctor, he blessed me with MISSIONARY doctor!!
He immediately understood that i needed to get my surgery done ASAP so that way i'd have time to recover before i leave. I was thinking, "great, maybe by like first of june he'll be able to get me in…" Nope. instead he scheduled me for the beginning of MAY!! 😀 that is amazing and so rare to be able to get scheduled that quickly. he said normally they schedule like 2 or 3 months in advance, but he worked me in just to help me out!
So not only will i be recovered in time for my trip, i'll be recovered in time for training camp too!! praise the Lord!!
As i was driving home, the Lord spoke to me and said…"I want to show off in your life… if only you'd trust me to do so."
So that's what i'm going to do. The Lord cares about every detail of my life…so i shouldn't worry about if and when and how things will be taken care of. if i seek HIm and trust Him and follow where He leads, then i know i'll be able to sit back and admire the ways He blesses me.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us, to HIM be the glory…forever, amen." ephesians 3:20
