Christmas Romance

The other day I was physically, spiritually and emotionally exhausted. While I was praying in my hut I asked God to romance me .Directly after I finished it started pouring rain. Through the rain I could also hear Him telling me something…

“Darling, instead of snow this year  I am giving you rain,to refresh you and remind you of my presence.

Instead of mountains I am giving you the beach because I know how much you love the ocean.

Instead of Christmas lights this year I am giving you the lights of the bars and clubs. But, my light that you are bringing to those places penetrates those artificial lights and shines much brighter.

Instead of getting gifts you are being a gift as well as making gifts. You are blessing these women and the ministry you are working with. You are cutting fabric for purses and bags that are going to bless people and help provide an income to the women working with in the ministry.

Instead of being with your family and friends back home I have provided you with another family of your squad and teammates.  They are your brothers and sisters as well. This Christmas I need you to love them unconditionally. I can handle things at home.

I am with you. I have never left your side. Distance I not a factor in our relationship. I have done all of these things for you because of my never ending love for you. I am providing you with so many Christmas blessings even though you are far from home.

Can you do something for me though?

Instead of missing your family and friends, invest completely in the ministry you are working with and the people you are encountering daily.

Instead of feeling discouraged and worn out, be refreshed by the rain I send you. Rely on my strength every step you take, and know that I have called you to what you are doing.

Instead of doubting my provision financially, trust me completely. I know your needs. I have met them your entire life. I’ve got things covered. Rest and rejoice in that truth and have yourself a Merry Christmas my love.”
