“When the music fades all is stripped away and I simply come.”

No instruments. No melodies. No lyrics. Not a single voice. I am just here on my knees, waiting.

“Longing just to bring something that’s of worth, that will bless your heart”

What can I bring Lord? My hands, my feet, my heart, they are all for you.

“I’ll bring you more then a song for a song in itself is not what you have required.”

You do not just listen to our voices or the lyrics we are singing.

“You search much deeper within through the way things appear. You’re looking into my heart.”

I can’t put on a mask or facade  around you. You see all the filth and trash in my life and are ready to preform some open heart surgery.

So…..

“I’m coming back to the heart of worship and it’s all about you. It’s all about you, Jesus.”

Your glory. Your power. You strength. You love. Your provision. Your righteousness. Your name being lifted high.

“I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it when it’s all about you.”

I must admit I have made it about me many times. I want to sound good. I want others to hear me singing. Sometimes I want to listen to those around me singing. I’m sorry. Bring me back to the HEART of what worship is meant to be.

“It’s all about you Jesus”

Can’t really argue with that now can I:)
