Hello everyone! Just to introduce myself a little bit, my name is Jordan Duke, I am 24, and I am from the small town of Toccoa, GA. After I graduated college, I moved to New York City to start an exciting career in fashion design. All of the lights and noise thrilled me to no end! There was always something to do or new foods to try! Name anything you could ever imagine, and someone in NY is probably doing it right now! So while I’ve done my fair share of exploration of the city, my heart has never once felt settled or at home here. It was almost as if God was telling me that He’s been preparing me for a much bigger project… THE WORLD RACE!!!!!!!
WHY THE WORLD RACE? WHY NOW?
God has really been working on me these past two years. Each and every day, I wake up and pray, “God please let me have a loving and grateful heart”. When I heard about the World Race, I instantly was hooked on the idea. I started doing more research, and the stories and photos of what I would be doing on the WR excited me to no end! It was as if God was directly saying, “O you want a grateful heart, huh? I’ll show you how good you actually have it”.
For those of you who don’t know, the World Race is an 11 month journey through 11 different countries around the world. During my race, I will be traveling around Asia for nearly a year! You can see the following countries below that I will call home for a month each! AHHH, you can see why I would be so excited!!! A few of the tasks I will work on is feeding the homeless, working in orphanages, teaching English, helping young girls and women effected by human trafficking and prostitution, and so much more! During my journey, I will be backpacking through endless cultures and spreading the love that the Father has so graciously shown me. While parts could be very challenging, I’m ready for the Lord to work in my life as well. There will be things I see, that most people couldn’t imagine, and I’m overjoyed for Him to being to mold heart into an image of Him. Even though I can’t believe it’s really about to happen or know why the Lord has chosen me, I’m ready to serve Him with all that I am.

HELP ME PRETTY PLEASE!!
One of the hardest challenges I will be faced with is to fundraise the amount of my trip. To fulfill my total before I leave September 1, I will have to raise $16,254. While this seems like a lot of money, this will include all my food, lodging, travel between countries, organizational fees, and insurance if anything were to happen along the way.
