We just got into Moshi, Tanzania with the Squad.  We could see Mt. Kilimanjaro on the way in, peaking it's head through the clouds.  It is permanently snowcapped and is about 19,000 feet.  It only costs $1800 to climb it, so if you feel like donating you can do so in my person account… just kidding.

On our last day in Mbarara, Uganda, we had dinner at another team's contact!!

He was delicious!  We also tried goat heart, which had a texture akin to filet mignon, African-style.

Before Moshi we were in Jinja to whitewater raft and bungee jump.  I was fifth in line and everyone had gone forward, and the bungee master asked if anyone wanted to go backward.  I immediately agreed.  I wasn't nervous at the prospect of going forward, but as soon as I was getting strapped in to go backward I started getting nervous.  My hands were shaking and knees were trembling, probably from equal portions of nervousness and adrenaline.  It was a short trip, but very fun!

(Video of my jump to be uploaded later!)

Also in Jinja, we went whitewater rafting, finally!  It was a combination of class 3, 4 and 5 rapids.  It was a lot of fun, most of us are sore and a little sunburnt, but it was definitely worth the money!

Our boat included (left to right) Ryan Banko, Brittney Jennings, Thomas Wensil, our guide Tutu, Jake Schmitt, Laura Gamble, Mickey Wingrove, and Chrissi Robertson.  Brittney was a river guide in Colorado and Tutu,
actually let her navigate a class 3 and 4 rapid.  It was awesome!

The guy standing up is Jake Schmitt, our crazy Canadian.  This was a class 5 rapid.

Our trip to Moshi took 23 hours, and that was after waiting 10 hours for our bus to arrive.  At the border, one of our members got his small pack stolen which contained his wallet, computer and Ipod.  The conductor and the driver were adamant that they had no idea who stole it, but that's nearly impossible.

We had to speak to Uganda and Kenya police at midnight, and drag everyone off the bus to check their bag one by one.  Hopefully, he'll get reimbursed by the company for the theft.  The next time I plan travel for 50 people in Africa (ha!), I'm not using Kampala Coach.

My team is staying in Moshi for the duration of the month, however we have no idea what exactly we're doing.  Thanks for all your love and support!

Below is a video from our debrief by Taralah Neff.  She did a great job. Check it out.
