After many months of anticipation, I am proud to announce my teammates for the next year! Though I will be traveling with the 45 other members of my squad to each country, after we land we will be split up into teams and sent to separate ministry sites for that month. The people on my team will be my roommates, my support system and my sisters each month. So without further adieu, it is my pleasure to introduce team Lutroo!

(Lutroo is a Greek word meaning “set free to serve”)

Starting from the top left we have:

Adrienne: I knew this girl and I were going to be friends from the firsttime I met her. She walked up to our F squad in the airport and said, “Hey, are ya’ll Effers?! Oh, that didn’t come out right…” Apart from being hilarious, she is caring, compassionate and within just one week of meeting her at training camp, taught me so much about what it looks like to be obedient to God and to let Him truly lead you.

Kayla: At first glance you may think that this girl seems a bit shy, or soft-spoken, but when she does speak she will have you on the ground laughing. There is so much strength in the person that she is and I can’t wait to get to know her better over the next year!

Lauren: The first time Lauren and I actually spoke at training camp we ended up spilling our souls to each other. Her openness and vulnerability is so refreshing and I know it will continue to encourage me as we grow together on this journey.

Jessica: Oh Jessica. This girl is incredible and also happens to be the leader of this team! One moment together we could be on the floor laughing and the next we might be crying to each other for comfort. She has been such an encouragement to me and the rest of our team and is a beautiful example of what it looks like to be truly on fire for God.

Christina: If I could describe this girl in one word it would be fearless. On our day off she simply walked into a piercing parlor without a second thought, got her nose pierced without flinching and then moved on to a simple “so where do you guys want to eat,” like nothing happened. I would also use the word humble to describe her. I am SO excited to go on adventures with this girl and watch as she yanks me out of my comfort zone over this next year.

 And then there’s me… yep.
