Let me start off this blog by explaining a little bit about Africa!!!!!! Africa is surely a beautiful country! It has plenty of natural beauty with the beautiful land here!!! I easily could see how it is called the mother land!!! To many people, Africa is a place people can call home! The environment is friendly and full of love. There is lots of farming and many market areas in Africa!! However, this country is very underdeveloped and many people are in poverty!!!!! As much as I love this country it’s hard to see at times and is mind blowing!!!
Nonetheless, people are joyful and are excited to see visitors!!!!! The children are really glad to see visitors and will come after us from time to time! Whenever I take my morning jog there are children that are on the way walking to school. Thus, whenever they see me or one of my teammates jogging they will come and follow us. It’s a really cool experience to have, it reminds me of the movie Rocky when he has children run after him!!!!
One day, I my teammates Eric, Taniuska, and Lyndsay were at a coffee shop hanging out on our day off. The girls decided to have a milkshake and relax themselves. Next, we returned on our journey home. It was about an half-hour when we got back home. Then, Taniuska and Lyndsay decided they wanted to go on a jog and drag me along!!! I was not excited about this because I hate evening jogs! Early in the mornings are best for me!!!!!! However, I still end up going anyway!!!! So we were jogging for sometime and then Lyndsay’s stomach begins to hurt. It hurts to the point that she has to stop and take a rest room break! So we are quickly looking for a restroom and finally we come to this stranger’s house and ask to use her toilet!!! It was pretty awkward!!! Taniuska and I were trying to communicate with her, but we don’t speak her language so we were just starring at each other and smiling!! Finally, we were able to leave and continue to our jog. We jog a little ways and her stomach hurts her again!!! Oh! No! This is all done in publicly! When you are strangers you get all of the attention! So people are watching all of this happen! We find a market area with a restroom, and as soon as we stop about twenty children run up to us smiling and giggling! While Lyndsay was in the restroom, Taniuska and I were left with all the children trying to figure out what next! Thus, we decided to teach the children songs and play games! That definitely was the most memorable jog I have ever been on! Without that milkshake we probably would never have gotten to play and minister to those children! God works in crazy ways!!!!!!!!!!
As for support, I currently have $9,214.85 in my support account! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you supporters for making that happen! However, I still have 4,585.15 left to raise! I need to have $10,000 by the end of the month! Please continue to pray and support me!! God Bless!
