So, it’s been over a month since I’ve posted. Ooops!!! Sorry about that. Here’s some dates/highlights that have happened in the last month or so.

April 1st: Our squad jumped on a plane, left Moldova, and went to Guatemala, via LAX. Crazy long flight, crazy jet-lag, new continent, no longer enjoying the Eastern European winter.

April 4th: Our team kicked off ministry in Monjas, Guatemala – a small town down towards where the El Salvador and Honduras borders meet. Worked in the mornings clearing a bean field at an orphange called “Shadow of His Wings”….they’ve got a super awesome thing going there. In the afternoons and evenings, helped out at a local youth center.

April 12th: Had a birthday! I turned 24, and my team made sure I had a great day. ‘Round about this time, I also started planning the most epic travel day of all time, with the help of my fellow LC Lindsay (Dubs).

April 25th: Wrapped up a month full of manual labor, fun kids, fellowship with awesome american missionaries, and plenty of “practice” at re-entry, with many questions, living conveniences, and surroundings that were in some ways similar to our life back at home.

April 26th: Crossed the Gulf of Fonseca with all my beloved Squad Mates!!! This was no small adventure – it was amazing! I’ve had several folks request that I write about the trip, so you can read THIS blog if you want to hear about it.

April 27th: Arrived in Granada, Nicaragua, to work with a ministry called “Reap Granada”. Met our ministry host for the month, and began to get involved! We’ve only been here 2 days, but we’ve already had the opportunity to see their unconventional ministry model in action in some awesome ways. Tonight the 3 of us guys hopped in the back of a pickup truck, picked up some local new believers, and went and hung out in the middle of a random street with some really new believers, and had a solid bible study. It was dark, but we could mostly read our bibles, with the help of the street lights. It was great!

Special shout outs to:

Cathy, our awesome host last month.

My brother Noah, who convinced me to sign up for a half-marathon 8 days after I make it back to the states.

My super awesome logistics partner in crime, Zinzile.
