It’s hard to believe, but we’re getting ready to start month 7!

South Africa was a blast. We met some incredible people while prayer walking the streets of Ocean View. We got to spend some quality time hanging out with the youth in the area in the afternoons, pouring into them and challenging them. We had some quality guy time, with all 9 guys on the squad serving together, and living together in tight quarters. And I went skydiving!

It was a little strange not being home for Christmas. But we had fun celebrating Christmas where we were. Us guys did a secret santa gift exchange – I got Joe a mini globe and some super glue, and recieved 2 cans of pringles and 2 bags of fritos from Joshua. We had an amazing Christmas dinner with our host. And we attended a Christmas morning service where each of us ended up getting adopted by a family in the congregation for the service.

It’s time to head to Botswana, our last stop in Africa, with a slightly new team, and a completely new ministry. Our new team consists of John, Mandy, Danica, Kelsie, and myself. We’re doing UH (Unsung Heroes) ministry this month. What that means is, we don’t have a ministry contact, don’t have a place to stay….really don’t have any starting point at all. Our purpose this month is to find existing ministries that are doing kingdom work, but aren’t a part of a big organization….ministries doing work that most of the rest of the world doesn’t really know is happening. (Unsung Heroes!). We’re looking for ministries that could benefit from having a World Race team come in the future, and join their ministry for the month. We’re going to try to connect them with AIM, Lord willing.

We’ll be doing lots of listening to and relying on the Lord this next month, both for direction and provision. I’m excited to see how He shows up! I’m going to try to blog much more often this month, to keep you all in the loop with what is happening.

Thanks for following along!
