Sometimes serving the Lord and doing the World Race means going house-to-house and praying for hundreds of people, then holding a night service, sharing testimonies and sharing the Gospel, every single day.  That was last month.

But sometimes serving the Lord and doing the World Race means taking little kids to see an awesome WWII museum in town.

And then next day farming in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by mountains and the most breathtaking scenery you could possibly imagine.

And then the next day playing volleyball with the local teenagers.

And then the next day putting on an English camp for the local middle-schoolers.

This is Thailand, this is our life this month, and I love it.  You never know what the next day will bring.  We wake up and cook our own breakfast every morning – eggs and toast!  Every day we travel to our ministry site in the back of a pickup truck.  We get to fly down the road with the wind in our face in the middle of the jungle – it really doesn’t get any better than this.  We bake brownies with the neighbors, we are special guests at the local Rotary meeting (Actually, it was a  ‘Special Lady Thailand’ meeting, but basically the same thing I think?), and we go golfing with a local government official.

So many opportunities to share Christ’s love in so many ways, in an area where the gospel is literally almost brand new!!!  When our hosts moved out here, they were the first Christians to settle in this area.  And that was just 10 years ago.  It’s super cool to see all the relationships they’ve developed, and it’s a blessing to be able to share in them, if only for a month.

I’m sorry for all the scattered thoughts, but I hope this gives you a small taste of what Thailand is like, and what life’s been like for us!  We get internet roughly once a week, but ask questions, and I’ll answer them at some point!

Also, I’ll try to post a blog soon about what the Lord’s been teaching me this month.
