It’s here. We all gathered in Atlanta, we’re getting some last minute training in…..being reminded not to get mugged, not to get sick, not to die…….how to love on others, how to share our testimony, what the Gospel is really all about, how to live in healthy community……and now it’s time to go.
We leave bright and early July 3rd, headed to Nepal. We know who we’re staying with, we know where we’ll be doing ministry…it’s time to go, it’s really here. I’m really leaving for 11 months.
Landing in Atlanta, nothing crazy happened…..I took the shuttle to the hotel, and I wasn’t necessarily feeling crazy excited. But then I went in the hotel, saw my fellow G’s……and instantly got stoked. Honestly, I’m overwhelmed by the level of community we’re already living in. It’s really my new family….we’re loving on each other, praying for each other, encouraging each other….we’re all ready to hit the road and do ministry together. It’s so awesome.
As you can tell, these blogs are probably gonna get choppy……probably won’t be nice and thought out, pretty sounding and smooth flowing….but I’ll do my best to keep all ya’all updated.
I’m super excited to have all of you along for the ride….I can’t express enough how much I appreciate all the prayers and financial support.
I’ve just passed the 50% mark for fundraising! If you’ve already supported me, thank you so much! And please share the link to my blog with anyone you think would be interesting in following me on this race.
If you feel like the Lord is leading you to support me, or you know someone who might be interested, or if you have more questions, just let me know! You can text me for about 32 more hours, or you can email me, or comment below. I’m past the halfway mark, and it’s all downhill from here!
So yup – look for blogs coming up from other countries…..goodbye USA!
