Hey guys, I’ve been in Africa for about 2 weeks now and its be so awesome! We are working with an organization called Scripture Union and last week we were working with elementary school kids. We were basically doing a VBS for all the kids in the area. Every day we had about 100-140 kids attending. We would teach them Bible stories, sing songs, teach them life skills, play games and help them with their homework. It was probably my favorite kids ministry I’ve done on the race so far. All the kids were so full of joy and life, I loved it.
During the second week, we went to high schools around the area and told the kids about the Gospel and invited them to the Scripture Union Games that we helped put on. There were tournaments in soccer, volleyball (which my team won!) and 100m runs. It was such a great time!
I’m loving Africa and my new team! I couldn’t ask for a better group to finish out the race with. Thank you to everyone for your prayers! These last 3 months are going to be a very fruitful season.
