Ministry has been so awesome this month!  From street evangelism, to talking to young adults, going to homes for the disabled and making a lot of house visits (and seeing a 70 year old man give his life to Christ!), this month has been really enjoyable and fulfilling for me.

Last week, my squad leader Jacob and I were asked to go to a coffee shop to talk to a guy that works there named Victor.  His family is friends with the pastor we are working with and he wanted us to build a relationship with him.  We get to the coffee shop and don’t see him working.  It’s small place, only 2 or 3 people were working so it was pretty obvious that he wasn’t there that day. We didn’t let the fact that he wasn’t there get in the away of us sharing the gospel with someone.   As we were ordering a drink, Jacob says “We’re here for a reason.”  and he was right.  Even though our guy wasn’t there, many other people were, all of which were opportunities to share the gospel with.

We go to the outside seating area because the inside was full and we sit at a table next to these 4 guys about 16-18 years old.  We wait for the right moment and Jacob strikes up a conversation with them to get the ball rolling.  They were from Serbia, on summer break from school and just finished up traveling for 10 days, on their way home.  After talking for awhile, they mention how they like to party which was the perfect opportunity for Jacob and I share out testimonies and what Jesus saved us out of, since we have similar stories.  You could tell these were good kids and had good heads on their shoulders and I wouldn’t want to see them go down the wrong path.  It was awesome because they were so receptive of our testimonies and what we had to say about drugs and alcohol.  When we talked about Jesus, they knew about him because Eastern Orthodox is very popular in this area of the world but getting the opportunity to share what Jesus is actually like, that it’s not a list of rules and rituals and that its actually a life of freedom seemed to resonate with them.

I pray that those seeds land on good soil and these guys come to Christ!

Thanks for reading and be BLESSED!
