So I’ve been workin’ hard at the office this week to get things set up for the Small Enterprise Conference that is being held at Bhekilanga Care Point here in the Manzini District. Life in the office is tough, as you can see from the picture.
I am getting so many connections here it is awesome! I am keeping track of all the information and giving it to members on the ground here so that this thing can continue. What is really cool is the programs are already in place through both Government agencies and other Micro Finance companies. They are not Christian or non-profit but they have the officers who head out to the rural communities and are experienced in helping people who have skills and business sense to expand on that and start something that can actually support them. These people keep records and follow up on the projects that they start. The officers first train the people in business, teach them how to apply for a loan, then are with them one-on-one the whole way.
So please pray for the conference on Monday, July 9, I really hope that
this gets things started for more hope for these ladies and their families. It’s so exciting to see this come together and know that it will be continued when I leave!
