Here is the story of Rose. Her husband passed away 3 years ago in this Mexican border town of “Tuberculosis.”  She is now visiting a friend here that is pregnant.

Rose must pay for her motel with pieces of her luggage and some precious earrings cause she has no money. She is American and wants to get back to her Seattle home but has no money and her family will not support her because she married a Mexican and they will not forgive her. Talia and I sat and chatted with her over some tacos from a taco stand to hear parts of her story. We prayed for her, that the future is in God’s hands and that He loves her and wants the best for her. Rose accepted our prayers and we still pray that whatever is happening in her life would be to the glory of God; that our chance meeting would be a turning point in her life. In a little while she is coming back and we´ll have dinner together.

Thank you for keeping us and Rose in your prayers. I love all you guys, hope that New Years was the best one ever (actually I don’t, I hope it was the worst…) Just a question for you to mull over… Does anyone think its wrong that I am praying to win this race…jk

Peace
