1) Be vulnerable, you never know when God is going to use it.

2) Quit planning time and spend time. That goes for relationships and time with The Lord. Too often in leadership do we try and plan out our day or our quiet time. What actually ends up happening is we plan during our quiet time. That’s not what your time with The Lord is for.

3) Pray into your emotions more…what you are feeling could be from the a Lord and for a situation or somebody else struggling with those same emotions.

4) If you are having trouble with getting things done or you are just procrastinating, don’t be afraid to ask somebody else to keep you accountable for getting it done.

5) Don’t lose sight of your calling. Tasks will come and go. But your calling never leaves and never changes until God says it does.

6) Spiritual impact is more important than friendship. We are talking about someone’s eternity, not just their day to day life. That sounds harsh but it’s true. At the end of the day where do you want to see your friend again? Tomorrow or forever?

7) We are called to things a season at a time. Basketball teams don’t think 2 seasons ahead. No they work and practice for the one they have right now so that they can be successful.

8) In leadership the enemy will be after you. One of the best practical things you can do to fight him is to write down and journal all of your “God moments” each and every day. When you are in seasons in the wilderness you can look back and see God’s hand in all of it. Memorize and write down scripture. Speak truth over yourself every day. And most importantly seek The Lord and find a quiet place.

9) How much more could we accomplish for God’s kingdom if we spent more time praying about our calling than working towards it.

10) If you want to lead and/or change the world you need the holy spirit’s anointing…which is found in the inner room…in the quiet place of prayer and solitude.

11) If God has called you to be a leader then you have been appointed to lead. Walk in confidence (and of course cover everything in prayer).
