In the wake of all the pain Oklahoma, my home, has been experiencing, there rises a level of hope, encouragement, and support that I'm not sure I have ever experienced before. The organization that oversees The World Race…my upcoming mission trip…the whole point of this blog…has been sending teams into Moore to help cleanup and bring light to a dark tragedy (see above).
I've met so many people in just a couple of weeks at Saddleback Church. Every time I meet someone new, they ask where I am from. When I respond, "Oklahoma," I am immediately asked if myself or anyone I know experienced any loss in the recent tornadoes. Saddleback has been sending team after team to help the efforts in Oklahoma. In fact, one lady just got back from Oklahoma and has decided to put her own team together and return to help out some more. The loss we have experienced is substantial. Just know that we are loved and cared for by people all across the nation. Stay strong Oklahoma! God is with you!
