Hello there!
My name is Jonathan Bunford and as I write this post I’m 23 years old.
Reverse-Biography
I have been in South Korea teaching English since August 2007 (minus 3 months in 2008) with my wife Cinthia. You can read all our adventures from South Korea at our blog, here. This year I have been teaching middle school students (who unfortunately don’t like taking pictures). Last year Cinthia and I taugh Kindergarten students:
About 3 weeks before beginning our adventures in South Korea Cinthia and I got married!
Before our wedding, Cinthia and I had been dating for nearly 4 years. We met in university (McMaster University) and I can’t imagine how my life would be without her in it.
My world views and life goals changed considerably during my studies at McMaster. I entered university planning to be a mechanical engineer, and through many transitions I majored in Philosophy and after The World Race I plan on going to seminary to become a pastor.
My Family
Where to begin! I am the baby of the family, with 2 brothers a sister an an extremely loving mom.
My oldest brother, Wayne and his wife Donna have 2 beautiful daughters who we unfortunately haven’t seen too much since we’ve been in South Korea. I spent countless summers with my other brother, Bobby, his daughter Chantelle and his wife Kristine at our cottage. My sister recently got married in Hawaii and is now living in Australia with her husband John.
And most importantly is my mom. For the past 16 years my mom has raised me on her own as my dad past away due to pancreatic cancer in 1993.
