So Im in Kampala Uganda for a day until we get on a bus and head to Dar es Salaam Tanzania. From there the squad will split up and everyone will go to their ministry sites. Our team is headed to Sumbawanga, in western Tanzania, just over a lake from DRC. Kinda crazy stuff. So according to wikipedia, Sumbawanga’s literal translation means “the meeting place of witches” We will spend somewhere between 40 and 50 hours in commute so please pray for our patience, energy (as traveling days tend to be very draining), and safety.
With the meaning of Sumbawanga in mind, several people on the team, including myself have felt some spiritual heaviness going into this next month. Two people on the team have had specific instances where the Lord has spoken to them about our team being surrounded by darkness; and one specifically with Mathew 7: 15-20. We have prayed about this and we trust that the Lord is covering us, and will continue to cover us with his protection. Please be praying for our team as we move into this next month in Sumbawanga.
