Life is GOOOOOOD!! A little hot, but I am loving it. My stomach was a little upset the past 2 days but I am over it and ready to start pumping out some Jesus again!! I am starting to work out whenever I can.
So watch out I am going to be coming home in great shape. With very few distractions you can get a lot done, I hope to make it a habit to work out every chance I get.
I am growing closer and closer to my team every day, so I am starting to open up more.
I think by the end of this trip we will be closer than family. It is crazy to think that it has only been 2 weeks. I feel like it was just yesterday that I got on the plane in Charlotte.
With only 10 days left in the DR we have a lot to do.
Living in a house with 46 other people can be crazy at times but we are making it work.
We are making good progress on the trench we are digging.
Hopefully we will get a lot done so we there won’t be much left to do for the team that comes after us.
It can get pretty hot during the day here, but it rains randomly so it cools of some.
Most of the men can be very disrespectful, they hiss, yell, and stare at the girls like it is no problem.
So yes, yes it gets under my skin. I have heard that some of the girls in the squad have had guys grab at them. I am glad it has not happened in my team. Most of you know what I would do if some random guy grabbed one of my sisters.
But a funny story to add to that we were walking back from our ministry site and some guy said “I love you” so my natural response was to say I love you back… It was a priceless moment.
Well that is a little on life in the DR, keep checking and reading the Blog to see the next part.
