Hey guys! This will be my first of many post on this blog. I hope you enjoy them and continue to read them as I continue on my journey. Most of you know that I will be leaving in January on a mission trip called world race(WR). On this trip I'll be gone for 11 months and travel to 11 countries spreading the good news of the Gospel to those who desperately need it. The countries I will travel too are South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Romania, Moldova, Nepal, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Vietnam. In order to leave in January I have to raise $15,500 and my first deadline of $3,500 is coming up soon on October 1st.
This large number has completely overwhelmed me. And to be honest, I was strongly considering pulling out of WR for awhile because of the anxiety and unanswered questions I had. I was worried about how I was going to come up with the money, putting off college, and leaving my friends, home, and family behind. But the Lord is continually reminding me, through prayer, scripture, and encouragement from friends, that He will provide for me as I continue to sacrafice and follow Him. I keep coming back to Luke 12:24, Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds! So that's kinda where I've been recently and the more worry I can give up to the Lord the more joy and peace He brings me.
I don't want anyone to feel obligated to donate, but I am about $2000 short for my deadline coming up. Please pray and consider donating and/or setting up a monthly donation. I would also appreciate any prayers and encouragment. I'm confident that the Lord will provide and I will be honored to be your representative of the Lord as I continue on my journey.
