Before I get down to the difficult good-byes to friends and family I figured I could get some practice in with a few petty "see you laters" to certain items I will be without over the next year.

So here it goes…

Mr. Blowdryer.
May you rest cool and calm as my poor hair now enters the world of air drying.
You will be missed but not forgotten.

Starbucks.
From one Joe to another, I will miss your energizing spirit for my early mornings and your wonderful companionship as I read or people watched for hours. May you continue to be a blessing to millions as I learn to appreciate my water-filled nalgene.

Sheets of Egyptian Cotton.
My heart is saddened knowing that you cannot come with me. If I could fit you in my 80 liter pack believe me, I would. I will think of you often, every night even. Promise.

In-N-Out Burger
How can I say good-bye to such awesomeness? I will miss our late-night visits and long lasting onion breath.
Please be sure to send my love also to Annie-mal Fries.

The Western Toilet.
My quads ache even now thinking of losing your supportive presence for 11 months.

Try not to be a stranger! I do hope our paths cross more often than not overseas.

That wasn't too bad I guess. Now onto the real good-byes sad
